Advancing Our Communities in 2021
CMHA was looking for financial support to help replace the roof for Kenora Supportive Housing, a program that provides safe and affordable housing for those who need. Their goal was $8,500 and we matched donations for a total of $17,000 to completely cover the cost of the new roof.

Bringing cardiovascular care to Northwestern Ontario is something that is vital to our communities. Social giving is one of the values that binds and strengthens Credit Unions, which is why we're so proud to donate $50,000 to the Our Hearts at Home campaign.

The Miracle Marathon has brought holiday cheer and endless smiles to Kenora families for 31 years. Organizers of the campaign said they received over 200 applications, which was their highest number to date. We purchased toys and gifts from local businesses to help spread the holiday joy.

Longbow Lake Fire Brigade provides emergency response services to protect our community, we thank all the strong volunteers who help each year. For every Member survey completed we were able to make this donation.

The Community Clothing Assistance has been making efforts to reduce poverty through their Undercover Program. We donated $5,000 to help them provide socks and underwear to families with children under 14. Each year they give out over 2,000 vouchers for the program and help kids feel comfortable and accepted in our community.

The Rotary Club of Kenora was looking to develop a Peace Park where individuals can go to seek peace and reflection. We were able to donate $5,000 to help cover some of the overall costs.

The financial well-being of our community depends on our abilities to understand and use financial information in a way that helps make life forward decisions. We’re proud to offer free financial literacy workshops that offer a variety of financial topics.
