Community Donations

Whether it’s volunteering with a charity or donating to a not for profit group, we’re committed to making our communities better for everyone. We give back 6 times more to our communities than Big Banks for every dollar of business*, and prioritize local initiatives with member connections.

Shelter House

Shelter House provides basic needs, dignity and comfort to people living in poverty, and stimulates action to address the root causes of homelessness.

On October 25, we partnered with the RFDA and The Blue Door Bistro. Our mission was simple: to feed people in need at Shelter House, and some friends who make our community better. Almost 400 meals were served, and we surprised them with $5,000! Check it out at https://youtu.be/UrYJZ6ZaWO0

Regional Food Distribution Association

Regional Food Distribution Assocaition

The Regional Food Distribution Association of Northwestern Ontario (RFDA) provides healthy meals and emergency food to our community, including distribution of food to organizations such as The Salvation Army, Shelter House and other food banks across Northwestern Ontario.

Copperfin team members have routinely volunteered, preparing soup and sandwiches for distribution and helping with storage and clean-up. We have also collected food in our branches.

This year we joined forces with some of our business members at Savour Superior  to raise over $3000 for the RFDA.
